There is a folk saying that "shajin oysters have a glass belly". Shenzhen oysters are not only delicious in quality but also large in size. It is a pity that oysters at original place have become legends and history.
Before Shenzhen became a Special Economic Zone, it was a fishing village that made a living by growing oysters. This is famous oyster town of millennium.

The grown oysters are then sent back to Shajing to be sold and are still named after "Shajing" to this day.
