Ebony Osmanthus Soup

Ingredients 50 g black plum 50 g black date A pinch of dried osmanthus 75 g dried hawthorn 3 g licorice 130 g rock sugar 3 liters (2 liters + 1 liter) water method

    Black plum, black date, hawthorn, dried osmanthus and rock sugar are ready

    Rinse black plum, black date and hawthorn with clean water and soak for 9-10 hours

    Pour two liters of water into pot and pour soup over soaked ingredients

    After water boils, turn on low heat and cook for 40 minutes

    Place rock sugar and dried osmanthus in a clean container for later use

    Pour first pot of sour plum soup into pot of rock sugar and dried osmanthus while hot

    Pour 1 liter of water into a saucepan and bring it to a boil, lower heat and simmer for 20 minutes, then turn off heat

    Pour second pot of sour plum soup together with first pot of sour plum soup, stir and soak, let cool and refrigerate
